Hindu Temple Vandalised again in Sindh Province Pakistan

In yet another case of an attack on the minority Hindu community in Pakistan, a temple in Sindh was desecrated by unknown vandals.  Pakistan’s small Hindu community has always lived under the threat of attacks and suppression. A number of historic temples across the country have been attacked and had their land taken away.

Karachi, April 29, 2017: Police have registered cases of blasphemy and terrorism against unidentified men for smashing idols at a Hindu temple in Sindh. The broken idols were found in a sewerage line on Saturday morning.

Lal Meheshwri, the minority councillor of the Gharo Town Committee in Thatta District, told BBC Urdu that he had been working late at the temple while preparing it for a monthly religious service which would have been held on Friday.

“Someone seems to have entered the temple between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. When worshippers came in the morning for prayers, the idols were missing. This is the first time that that such a thing has happened in the temple’s history,” he said, Pakistan Today reported.

Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Minority Affairs Dr Khatto Mal said he has asked the police and the district administration to register a case with the state as the complainant and to include terrorism clauses in the FIR. He said the vandals would be arrested and punished according to the law.

Thatta SSP Fida Hussain Mastoi told the BBC Urdu that the case would be investigated from all aspects.

Gharo is situated along the National Highway some 60 kilometres from Karachi. About 2,000 Meheshwri, Dewan and Harijan families, who are Hindus, live here. (IANS)

23-year-old student beaten to death over blasphemy allegation.

A 23-year-old student of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan was killed and another seriously injured by a vigilante mob for allegedly “publishing blasphemous content online”, local police said Thursday.

Mardan’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Mohammad Alam Shinwari said the deceased student, Mashal, had been accused of running Facebook pages “which allegedly published blasphemous content”.

Rehman, the caretaker, said Khan was alive when the police arrived, but that they did not approach the hostel until it was too late.

“They could have easily saved his life but they stood away from the mob … I heard one officer say it’s good that they sent this non-believer to hell,” he said.

blasphemy laws, which allow the death penalty in some cases, are often misused to oppress minorities.

Remember that Pakistan is a nation where the law says blasphemers may be executed. The murder comes just weeks after two Pakistani atheists, Ayaz Nizami and Rana Noman, were arrested for posting their thoughts about religion on online forums.

There is no difference between ISIS and these Pakistani Islamist religious people, they all have same motive and share same book ‘Quran’! who I beleive is the source of all these killings and violences. Pakistan would never be peacefull untill this religious drug being washed out from every people mind!
