Pooja Kumari and Minorities of Pakistan
News reports claimed that Pooja’s killer Wahid Bux Lashari wanted to convert her to Islam before marrying her. Lahiri forcefully entered Pooja’s house and tried to abduct her but she refused. After which an enraged Lahiri killed her.
If that girl Muskaan had fallen into the hands of these Pakistani warriors, another Hindu fort would have been conquered and what did this innocent man know that if she did not resist, like hundreds of Hindu and Christian girls, her pictures would be published in newspapers a few days later of being converted to Muslim. It is indeed Pooja Kumari’s fault that she resisted and ended up losing her life.
Minorities in Pakistan are so secure that anyone can kidnap them and forcibly convert them or make them a source of sexual gratification and then these so-called religious scholars give full protection to these kidnappers and culprits.
Minorities have equal rights in Pakistan. What if some Christians or Hindus are killed on charges of blasphemy for grabbing someone’s house, taking revenge, or humiliating them in their occupation?
Just a few days ago in the Green Town area of Lahore, a man named Muhammad Bilal climbed up on a cross about 40ft high, fixed at the entrance of One In Christ Church and started shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’. This tragic incident took place in broad daylight. Although peaceful Christians have handed over the man to the police and the police have registered a case, the accused in this public incident will be punished. Non-Christians will unite on this incident.
The irony is that if a false rumour is spread against the owners of the property, groups of groups would gather and wipe out the families of the minorities. There are innumerable such examples in peaceful Pakistan for minorities.
Innocent Pooja Kumari’s father has been crying for decades that now believe that Hindu and Christian girls are abducted first in Pakistan and then the issue is suppressed under the guise of religion after rape. That is why I remembered Muskaan on this incident that even the minorities in Pakistan cannot breathe loudly. If Muskaan was a part of any religious minority in Pakistan and dared to speak up for her rights, when would she be killed? Source: https://mmnews.tv/muskaan-and-minorities-of-pakistan/
