Stop saying me ‘Assalamualaikum’

life

Please stop saying me ‘Assalamualaikum’! not against but I do not like and believe.

I am tired of ‘Assalamualaikum’ and I do not know how to stop it, even though my Muslim friends (who are educated) knows that my religion is the Hinduism and yet they keep saying me (as greeting) ‘Assalamualaikum’ whether it’s on phone, public places, walking on the streets or at super mart. I am sorry but I really do not like people say me ‘Assalamualaikum’. However, I have stopped replying (Walikum Salam) and when I do not reply, I get lectured about meaning of ‘Assalamualaikum’ etc and weird look from those people (I think it only happens in Pakistan due to Islamic state).

Apart from this, ‘khuda hafiz’ ‘allah hafiz’ ‘bismillah’ ‘mashallah’ ‘inshallah’ are commonly used and almost all Pakistani Hindus are forced to follow such words and the life is almost Islamic way of life, whether you like it or not!

I want to tell those people that I know the meaning of such words and I am not against but I do not like and believe on your ideology, so please stop it and try to understand others belief and traditions.

Further, to all my Hindus community specifically in Pakistan, we can practice our own customs and traditions, instead of those words but in the end, I would like to mention “It is not for me to judge another man’s life. I must judge, I must choose, I must spurn, purely for myself. For myself, alone.” by Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha

You can practice following:

Namaste:
A respectful greeting: my soul honors your soul; I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides. I honor the light, love, truth, beauty, and peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.

Hari Om (AUM):
Hara means to remove troubles, bondages, Doshas, Granthis. Hari means one who removes troubles and bondages i.e. Remover of bondage. So Hari is Remover of Bondage

‘AUM is that Absolute Truth’. As AUM is the primordial cosmic vibration from which sprang the entire cosmos and all creation, we can thus understand a fraction of the greatness of Hari. Hari Om is a universal mantra and contains within itself the cosmic vibration.

“I remove the sins of those who remember Me
I take what is offered in holy sacrifices
My complexion is blue in colour
Therefore I am known as Hari.” Source: Hariaum.org

Hari Har Mahadev:

Was the actual chant that with time became popular as Har Har Mahadev.
Here “Hari” refers to Lord Vishnu, “Har” means Lord Shiva and “Mahadev” is the supreme power. We get references of use of term “HariHar” to refer the combined deity form of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. “Mahadev” means the supreme power so, “Hari Har Mahadev” signifies that Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva are forms of one supreme power, here called “Mahadev” or Devon ke Dev, i.e., Lord of the Lords. Jai Sri Ram:

means “Hail Lord Ram” or “Victory to Lord Rama”, Hindu deity and the seventh Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Religious Hindus consider chanting Jai Sri Ram is a way to get rid of anxieties. Source: Wikipedia.

Jai Shree Krishna or Hare Krishna/Jai Krishna:
Jai – Victory to or Hail
Shree Krishna – Lord Krishna – utmost respect only to Krishna
Jai Shree Krishna – Hail Lord Krishna
The more a person take the name of Lord. .his heart will resound with the positive feelings and peace.

‘Hare Krishna or Jai Krishna, that the person is seeing the Lord in that person and that
makes everyone blissful and peaceful; it is also the right direction for spiritual
evolution.
